Philosophy: Responsible and Luxury
As a pioneer of responsible tourism in Cappadocia and Turkey, Museum Hotel seamlessly blends sustainable values with luxury hospitality. Our award-winning restoration, ecological gardens, energy-conscious practices, and commitment to preserving local traditions reflect this guiding philosophy.

TRANSFORMATION AND RESTORATION
Since 1998, we have revived dozens of endangered historical caves, stone houses, and mansions through meticulous restoration. In recognition, we were awarded Best Hotel Restoration in Turkey by the International Hotel Awards in 2013.

KEEPING “THE LOCAL” ALIVE
The soul of Museum Hotel is Cappadocia and all the things that comprise Cappadocia’s existence. Keeping “the local” alive constitutes the basic philosophy of Museum Hotel. Prioritizing local farmers and producers in our kitchen, sourcing all handicrafts used in our hotel from local artists, using local craftsmen in all our restoration works, and the vast majority of our hotel employees being local people are just a few good examples of our philosophy.

SUSTAINED TRADITIONS
Modern Cappadocians inherit a rich tapestry of traditions shaped over millennia. We celebrate this legacy through architecture, lifestyle, and cuisine—ensuring that nearly forgotten customs continue to live on.

FARM TO TABLE
Our 200-acre eco-garden cultivates staples such as grapes, almonds, walnuts, potatoes, celery, and fresh spices. We also produce natural honey and eggs, offering authentic flavors directly from our land.

THE LIVING MUSEUM
Operating since 2003, Museum Hotel, the world's first museum concept hotel, displays hundreds of priceless historical artifacts from the Hittite, Roman, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods. Registered in the Nevşehir Museum, these can be found in all the hotel rooms, public areas, cave tunnels, and in the food and beverage areas. Museum Hotel offers Cappadocian culture, architecture, traditions, lifestyle, historical Cappadocian cuisine, and even the near-forgotten local clothing style so that guests enjoy this unique "living museum" concept.

ENERGY AND WATER
The hotel employs energy-efficient devices and LED lighting. Agricultural and landscape irrigation rely solely on water-saving drip systems, and guest areas are supported by initiatives encouraging mindful water use.

SUPPORTING NATURAL LIFE
Museum Hotel supports natural life as much as possible with a conservationist perspective that includes many policies and practices such as the protection of the turtle family in their own private garden (after the discovery of a turtle nest during restoration work), the feeding of pigeons (an important species in Cappadocia). Museum Hotel accepts pets and shares leftovers with creatures such as foxes and rabbits living in the valleys of Cappadocia.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We support community projects in education, restoration, and the arts. Notably, our sponsorship enabled the restoration of Tokalı Church in Göreme Open Air Museum and the Forty Martyrs Church in Şahinefendi village.
