Operating since 2003, Museum Hotel has held the distinction of being the world’s first museum-concept hotel. It displays hundreds of priceless historical artifacts from the Hittite, Roman, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods, all registered with the Nevşehir Museum, throughout its guest rooms, public areas, cave tunnels, and restaurant.
Museum Hotel brings to life the living traditions of Cappadocia—its culture, architecture, lifestyle, historic cuisine, and even almost forgotten local clothing styles—through its unique “living museum” approach.
The concept of a "living museum" has been brought to life through the restoration of ancient caves, stone houses, and buildings, which today stand as magnificent examples of regional stone craftsmanship.
