Thanks to its unique location, most of the rooms and suites, as well as restaurants, bars, and terraces, are dominated by the magnificent view of Cappadocia. Museum Hotel offers views of the most impressive sights of the region, such as the Göreme Valley, Love Valley, the Valley of the Pigeons, the Red Valley, Avanos, and Mount Erciyes. Since its first day of opening, Museum Hotel has consistently been the number one choice for luxury travelers visiting the region of Cappadocia seeking luxury and exclusivity.

Where Museum Hotel is now located is where the last inhabitants of the area, the Tekeli clan, resided. It’s this clan from which the particular district takes its name. The Tekeli clan was a famous nomadic Turkmen clan who brought to the region the renowned horse breed known as Akhal-Teke. It seems certain that Cappadocia, known in those times as the “Land of Beautiful Horses,” must have been extremely welcoming for the members of the Tekeli clan.

These rare caves and stone houses were used for many purposes, like accommodation, stalls, depots, and kitchens by the Hittites, Persians, Romans, Seljuks, and Ottomans, and now serve as a living museum following Museum Hotel’s meticulous and award-winning restoration work.

As a result of the careful attention paid to the restoration process, Museum Hotel has won prestigious awards from the hotel sector. In the International Hotel Awards 2013 (one of the most prestigious evaluation organizations in the world hotel industry), Museum Hotel was recognized with awards for ‘Best Architecture’ and ‘Best Restoration and Renovation.’
